The Get Inspired Centre was founded by Grant Oosthuyzen in September 2019. Get Inspired travels all throughout Durban to promote the well-being of the disabled in our community by providing skills development programs and workshops such as arts and crafts, sports, and woodwork.

The Get Inspired Centre is very passionate about the disabled community as many of them are vulnerable and are unable to do able-bodied work. This is where Get Inspired comes in. Our programs instill a sense of pride and dignity in the lives of the disabled and it teaches them general skills as well as entrepreneurial abilities that may help them in the future.

The products that get made through our skills development programs get sold at local markets. Half of the profit made is given to the maker of the product while the other half gets used to buy more materials for the programs.

Get Inspired also goes to disabled centers and coaches Boccia, a disabled sport, that enables them to compete in competitions and hopefully make the provincial team. The Get Inspired Centre is about making a difference in the disabled community and empowering them to become independent.
